Farassoo and Gitex 2009, Oct 18th-22nd

Gitex, being credited as one of the biggest T.I.C exhibitions in the ME, has been suffering from the negative effects of the world wide recession like its other competitors, CeBit and CES in the past couple of years.
Not seeing big names such as Apple, LG, MicroSoft, Sony, Canon, etc in the past two Gitex has caused a quality loss of the show and this year’s bomb shell was Samsung’s withdrawal as last year’s biggest and most active participant.
Again due to the wide spread recession, many well-known companies and brands have decided to go with more conventional approach such seminars, using the net and the web as a fast track for both sending and receiving the needed information, benefiting the cost-cut of taking part in shows.
Farassoo, after participating in Gitex for the past 6 years as an independent Iranian company, has decided to transform from its big, eye-catching booths to a meeting room in Fairmont Hotel due to Gitex losing its weight among the alike exhibitions.
